I just needed to hear the "Negotiate" word. The people around me were
offering combative solutions that were not helpful. Odd that one can
forget something so basic as negotiation, but this is the first time
I've encountered an odious clause such as that.

I have sent them my counter proposal and a list of other VLC's that
have agreed to them in the past.
