You could negotiate....and they could say no........you either acquiesce or 
refuse the gig....bit of a no one wins situation there...and the company 
isnt affected at all...... OR you could take the gig and they DO dump on 
you...well its THEIR reputation thats going to be damaged...and with the 
internet grapevine these days......... Id take the gig and gentle suggest 
that they look at more accomodating models of contracts........
