Thanks Daniel. I am starting to understand the principles, but I need precisions. How does one connect the neck to the spring again? A screw? A hole? How can the eyelet (or is it a screw-eye?) be there without preventing the ball from sliding in the hollow? Is there a deeper hole inside the hollow? What is a MORE spring? A loop(?) of Steinway piano wire between what and what? Sorry, I guess it's my old interpretation problem. I need visuals. Text never entirely does it for me. Gotta remember I'm a newbie, with no formal training whatsoever in tools, hardware, or materials. I've only been tinkering in 3D for about 6 years. Before, I was a 2D artist exclusively. ASo what I know now is from actually trying and asking lots of questions. People have been generous with me, so I do the same when I can. Information passed on to me is guaranteed to spread. My collegues and students appreciate it. So if you or anyone else can draw up soemthing, I'd truly appreciate it. Of course, on my end, I will post detailed photos of my puppet parts and describe all the process and final functionnings. I'm rather proud of my torso and leg movements. I will post pics soon. I gotta sleep sometimes. I'm about 10 hours overdue, looking for neck articulation pictures all night. No real luck...yet. Have a great day everybody!
