Brett,

But your mother, or your mother's voice, could be a
good character or dramatic effect in the show.  No
child would want to disappoint its mother by hurting
someone else.  One's mother is a great person to
relate to a child that hurting others breaks a bond
between people and hurts everyone-- and she could
relate it to her own bond with her child.  It needn't
be delivered in a fire and brimstone way.
