Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Question for children's show performers

Everybody,

I really do appreciate all the wonderful words of wisdom. When I teach my
children something, I usually focus on the consequences of their actions. I
ask them what they think will happen to them if they do something. I got
kind of stuck on the idea that sometimes there aren't any consequences for
stealing something. So, I think I'm going to base this lesson on "The Golden
Rule". I think that's something that all kids can relate with.

Buy the way, this is for my pirate show. Part of the show will be a "G"
rated history of pirates. I'm going to talk about how pirates were actually
useful in helping to defeat the Spanish. I've written some routines about
pirate history that it will be okay for young children to watch.

So, the logical moral lesson is that it's wrong to steal. One of the
routines I'm writing uses Steve Axtell's shark. All kinds of things can be
pulled from it's mouth. My idea is that he stole all the things that I pull
from his mouth. I'll teach the shark that he wouldn't like it if someone
stole his (something) so he shouldn't steal from other people. As I'm
writing I'm sure I'll add other ideas, but that's a good start.

Thanks again everybody!
Brett
