Subject: [Puptcrit] the best sculpture supply store I have ever been to

Puppeteers-

I was recently led by a good friend to the best
sculpture supply store I have ever been to. It is in
the east village in NYC. A little door in the wall
takes you into a flash back in time. There, marble and
wood carving tools of every shape, size, weight and
cut can be found. Apparently, this little shop has
been there for years but now may not be there very
much longer. I could go on about what a tragedy that
is, however, the state of NY real estate can be left
for another post.

If you carve wood for marionettes as I do- or know
someone who does, send them to this shop, or go there
and buy them a gift. There, you will meet a man named
Peter. Peter Leggieri. His shop is a trove and he is a
genius.

Peter Leggieri
Sculpture Supply Co.
415 E. 12th St.
between 1st avenue and avenue A
NY, NY 10009
212-674-8067

Sincerely,

Yvette

EASY Tips for Reducing Energy Waste

Replace a regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent bulb (cfl)
CFLs use 60% less energy than a regular bulb.

Clean or replace filters on your furnace and air conditioner
Cleaning a dirty air filter saves 350 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.

Choose energy efficient appliances when making new purchases
Look for an Energy Star label on appliances to choose efficient models.

Turn off electronic devices and unplug them when you=92re not using them
Things that are plugged in are still using energy: hairdryers, cell chargers

When it is time for a new car, choose a more fuel efficient vehicle.
Try renting a hybrid on your next business trip and consider it a free week of testing.
