Great reminder that stereotypes of fundamentalist Christians are just that-Stereotypes, and are just as dangerous as stereotypes of Muslims or jews or blacks or hispanics or Californians, etc. I know that Leslie Cararra, Who performs Abby, has been irked by the press. They have complained for years about the lack of Female characters on Sesame Street, and now don't like the one they got. Leslie herself is about the greatest role model of love, caring and understanding I have ever met, and although she is neither a lesbian nor a Pagan, I know she treats them with the same respect she treats her Christian friends. I've seen it. I wish the rest of the world could take a lesson from her. Greg On Sep 1, 2006, at 9:26 PM, Sandy Barton wrote: > But it's not just fundamentalist Christians.
