I got a de-ja vu moment there...my sister called me back in 1967 about a late night TV show..called Sam & Friends...coming out of her the home town...Washington DC...shortly thereafter Rolph was singing/playing with Jimmy Dean...
although..nothing touches my heart more than Muppets Christmas...when we get to see Jim cleaninig up the dishes at the end...
at that time, my SO was teaching Brian and Cheryl at Byram Hills...

I still love Wembley best...

Hey Kerry,

Recently Disney made Henson.com take Kermit off their website because 
he is 
now a Disney trademark. That's why they now use a pre Sam and Friends 
sketch 
as their logo. (The little monster thingy.)

However, I definitely agree with you on Disney thinking puppetry being 
easy. 
I don't think they knew what they were getting into.
