This puppet glove system looks interesting for short appearances. I wonder if it is as tiresome to the fingers as I think it is...keeping thre hand falt and open for any extended periood of time is usually a pain. So far, nothing puppet-wise I've seen and tried from Folkmanis or Manhattan Toys has impressed me one bit. Sure, some are cute and cuddly, but the controls (especially when operated with hand inside the puppet) are usually very uncomfortable and too hot (stuffed animal based) Can anyone point me to their really good stuff, if there is any? Are there any commercially produced toy puppets that are of really good quality? I exclude the commercially-made pro puppets from this category, of course. I'm talking mas quantity productions, the kind you can see in chain stores. I'm very sad Pelham Puppets are no longer in business (since 1993, according to this site: http://www.ppo.co.uk/pelham/info/faq.htm#7 I know a guy who collects some Pelham puppets. As a child he even bought some from his friends for a few quarters! He brought a dislocating skeleton puppet to show me, and it was made of something like ceramic!
