That you have gotten us into Ollie? As much as I hate to do it :) I agree (somewhat with Christopher) It doesn't really matter what you are using for fund raising activities if it is for or impacts on a family/children kind of audience and you are making news about your activities then it should have the sensitivity for that market. Otherwise you do run the major risk of having it impact negatively on your bookings...FOR THAT MARKET By the way the key words there are making news..... That is just the way things seem to be in this current society. Right or wrong doesn't come into it. We live in a time when there have been calls to put bigotry into law.... Oopss don't/ won't go there... I remember (is that a cue for music???) I once called a character Phil the Pill... Was told by my client (this was a 13 show run I believe - built for this client) to change the name. Pill was not acceptable. Okay wasn't married to it... It was their need - major retail player in the Philly market at the time. It was their sensitivity... By the way that was for a Christmas show.... I never used anything like JEW who does not believe in Christmas does Christmas show... Tim - by making news of the news you just open yourself up to possible (not certain but possible negative repercussions) I think.... And Ken I don't agree about um not being responsible for one another in some way. We are invited into a situation (unless you run a Theatre which people come to - that is different - I think).(or you are performing in a Theatre venue). There have been all kinds of junk in the past few years that could create problems for others....but that (those problems) are not the problem of the possible source but rather the person facing the situation currently. Um I Think.... :) Mark.... _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-lists.driftline.org Admin interface: http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/puptcrit-driftline.org Archives: http://www.driftline.org
