It would certainly be very nice to see puppets carved or preserved by 
Waldo Lanchester, brother of Elsa Lanchester, who played "The Bride of 
Frankenstein."  I've seen photos of some of the wooden-headed 
handpuppets that he had maintained in the UK, and they had very funny 
expressions.  Some of his puppets can be seen in the picture galleries 
at Chris Somerville's www.punchandjudy.com.  (I think the puppets in 
question performed with MR Lanchester on at least one occasion in the 
marionette theatre Chris now runs, the Harlequin, in Wales.)

   Hi Jim,

The puppets will go on exhibition around the UK at various events, 
festivals and
stand alone exhibitions. A selection will nearly always be on show in 
the
Childhood and Costume Museum in Bridgnorth, UK from January 2007 
onwards and
this will be rotated often with other puppets from the newly acquired
collection.
