They seem to use pretty big rod puppets with relatively small heads. The body and the clothing make a big statement. The puppeteers hold the puppets up high, that would take some endurance. And they seem to let the puppeteer's head show over the stage floor! You have the puppets on stage with human heads sliding around on the floor looking up at them.
