Thanks Robert, I've since discovered that Shawn Sorrell is putting the book
online at along with some updates notes of his own so I
will likely take the information from there since it is already scanned.

I've heard that the control diagrams are missing from the book. I'm
collecting this information to post on the Puppet Building Wiki and
hopefully someone with experience in trick marionettes will eventually fill
in the gaps and contribute some control diagrams as it's not an area of my
