Subject: [Puptcrit] The death Of George Latshaw, Dec 19 2006


I just got home and checked my e-mail. The first item was that George Latshaw, former editor of Puppeteers of America's publications, died last night, Dec 19 in a Florida hospital. Two of his many legacies: THE GRAPEVINE which George edited beginning in 1948, and later THE PUPPETRY JOURNAL edited by George with his wife Pat. He was a great puppeteer, puppet designer and teacher of Puppetry. We have lost another major force in American puppetry.
