I have gathered a number of materials here and there over the past 3 years including reactive yarn, cloth, plastic bits, plastic cups, thick plastic shot glasses, lacing, adhesive and non-adhesive vinyl and acrylic rod/tube and sheet. I also have a number of glow in the dark materials. The esthetic I want to achieve is a lot of translucent/transparent/opaque materials and use of negative space to create these puppets. I want to set up a shop to cut, bend, fold, spindle mutilate, etc. the acrylic materials. I have been looking at the Delvie's acrylic web site and there are a number of options for equipment to do this work. I have a dremel, but I haven't used it much. I am wondering what equipment would be necessary for setting up the basic shop? Has anyone worked with these materials and what advice do you have? Yes, I am considering weight as well as esthetics. Best wishes!
