I don't have the ability to make improvements in the quality. Since the recordings were not made in a studio, but seemingly were recorded at an actual instructional session, they do have some limitations and quality issues. But they have served well to give people the basic techniques. I contacted the company that distributed them some years ago and was told I could make copies because they no longer were distributing them. I contacted Verna and she gave me permission as well. I understood she is now living in a retirement community where she teaches the residents to make puppets. There was an article in the Puppeteers of America journal. There are copies available on eBay. Jim and Bonnie Blank had several copies of the VHS tapes they received from the estate of Travis Bowen. Last summer Bonnie told me she was selling them via eBay for $70 a set. (They originally cost $50) The patterns were ones I got when I took a three day session with Verna and Mary Ann Taylor sponsored the Greater Philadelphia Area Puppetry Guild.to learn her techniques. I later ordered heranimal puppet patterns.
