I too have always had a few dozen wayang golek (the wooden Indonesian
puppets) scattered about on various surfaces in my house, including
some fairly intimidating demons, and many shadow puppets on the walls.
Even some of my puppeteer friends have admitted to feeling a little
uncomfortable in our living room.

We recently moved, and our new entry area has a wall that doesn't meet
the ceiling, forming a lovely tall platform perfect for golek display.
So now there's a huge gang of them staring down at anyone bold enough
to enter our house. People do seem to want to cover up their necks a
lot... ;)

Regards,
Diane
