The Eureka in the subject line of a previous posts was called for. I have just made the best separation line I ever did in a mold, and it happens to be in the hardest place: the middle of the face. I was also able to smooth the separation line of the back part as well, using a home-made tool in the form of a bent spatula, as seen in the moldmaking Tutorial by Dan Perez I posted about earlier. Thanks to all who sent me advice. Special thanks to Steven, who suggested I attach the two front parts of my three part mold, to simplify the asembly later. Even the Polichinelle (Punch) face is not too undercut to allow me access inside the chin and nose, using my modeling tools. When the paper will be dry, it will be easy to remove the face by separating the two parts. I can't assemble the three parts in one step, but the back part has a nice subtle separation line slightly back of the head, so it will be easy to clean up. Now I'm about to get some energy from something called food, and I'm told it will enable me to apply Paper Mache Strip the mold, at least the front part, tonight. Food must be something powerful and versatile! _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-lists.driftline.org Admin interface: http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/puptcrit-driftline.org Archives: http://www.driftline.org
