Mathieu
I have taken the basic mechanics of a ventriloquist dummy and modified
the design for a glove puppet. I used a 8mm wooden dowel connected to
the inside of the puppet head. I placed levers for the mouth and eyes
which could be operated by my index finger on the wooden dowel. My thumb
was used for one puppet hand, my middle finger was used for the other
puppet hand. My ring finger and little finger held on to the bottom of
the wooden dowel. The other way to do it would be to run string controls
for the eye blinks down thru the puppet's body and operate them with the
other hand.
  Les

PS I could take a photo of the basic idea - if that would help.
