I just made the cutest sock puppets with my first grade to fourth grade kids. I don't often like the way they come out, but these were fabulous. They can make them then use them. Or see if you can get some seniors at a senior center to sew you those cloth hand puppets, kids can just add their eyes and hair... and then use. Then you teach them puppeteer secrets... movement, voice, and use the little skits in the Making PUppets Come Alive book to warm them up.
