Part of Alan's collection is on display through the end of Puppet Rampage at
the St. Paul Public Library. Hope everyone gets a chance to see it. It's
small, especially compared to his huge collection, but impressive.

Here at Great AZ Puppets in Phoenix we are bringing Alan in on a regular
basis with a new installation each time. Right now it's American puppeteers.
As we finish each installation, we videotape Alan as we go by each display
case. He talks about each of the puppets and their makers. He has lots of
stories. Right now the tapes are just in our archives and need editing, but
we're trying to capture as much of this history as we can. We hope to get some
of it edited and make it available in P of A's audiovisual library.

? I agree with Robert. Alan's rich store of history is invaluable.

?I hope that Alan's posts to the list will continue to be accessible - it
seems like these are great sources.?

Dear Alan,

I hope that there is some way that you are recording the incredible
encyclopedic memory of yours. Someone should interview you on a regular
basis so that you can tap into your list of anecdotes and information. I
wish I could do it, but I live in New York. My brother lives in Seal Beach,

CA, but I'm not planning a visit anytime soon.

By the way, I had a chance to see the film "Lily" with Leslie Caron and the
Walton & O' Rourke puppets on the TCM cable channel. I'd seen it before,
but it continues to charm. That should be required viewing of all aspriring

puppeteers.

Take care,

Robert Rogers
