Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] question about stringing small marionettes...

I am returning to the List after several months away and appreciate re-connecting with the magic of puppets and puppet-makers... Regarding the question of stringing for small marionettes: it reminds me of Dwiggins' Marionettes (the book is out-of print and almost priceless :-) but I remember he created a small one-handed controller that resembled a "paddle" or "palette" shape...

Does anyone know how to obtain a decent picture or drawing of the Dwiggins
controller, so that I could make one and experiment with his "genius"...?

I saw one drawing in a kids book, but it was poorly done and the text instructions
were worse...

This could help the original questioner and me as well, and others also interested
in small marionettes.
