Sad and enraging, this decision of them to cancel the show, with all the 
efforts that had been put into it.
The letter of explanation they sent Bruce was just a device to ease their 
conscience and justify their decision.
I've heard many "excuses" of the sort before, mostly from customers 
cancelling a class or artwork at the last minute, but this (cancelling your 
father's retrospective) is by far the worst case of such a thing I've ever 
seen.

The arguments they raised were almost convincing, but at the end of the 
page, I believe they fall short of convincing anyone with an open mind about 
"What is Art",  "What is Identity", and "what it is like to have a different 
background".
