Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] wedding ideas

We've done wedding shows occasionally over the last 30 years. We adapt the
"frog prince" using a wizard who's had bad luck in love turning the groom into a
frog on his way to the wedding. We often just take a photo of the bride and
groom and make them two dimensional rod puppets ( good wedding present as well)
. The bride has a witch friend ... and well you know ... if anyone would
actually like to use the script they're welcome to contact me off list. It's sort
of a "Mad Libs" script with blanks to fit the couple. We haven't done it in a
few years partly because we've grown out of the marryin' years and partly
because over 50% of the marriages ended up divorced and we didn't want to be part
of a jinx! It was a huge hit every time we did do it though... very few
people can say that they'd been to a wedding with a puppet show so it adds a lot of
energy to the reception. My wife and I actually had an abstract show we had
written as part of our church ceremony in addition to the homily that was also
very well received. I've got an idea for a funeral show but no one's expressed
an interest yet. Guess I'll have to wait for my own!
