Best, simplest, most transportable, and lightest I ever saw was based on an aluminum lawn chair with the webbing of the seat removed. The proscenium arch was sewn over the to looped legs, the back of the chair was belted to the wearers back, and the hands came up in front of the face, over which was draped translucent fabric (all fabric brightly colored burlap).I think two straps kept the seat supports from sinking past the shoulders of the wearer.
