That tree in the middle of a room is a neat idea, Mary, if only classrooms 
were of adequate size for teaching.
Me, I think they're always too small, too bleak, and too cramped. At least, 
every classroom I've ever seen was like that. And I've seen MANY, both in 
person (I studied in a few schools and now teach workshops) and in the 
media.
WHere is my dream school, where they grow trees and tall grass inside, so we 
can enjoy a bit of fresh air and summer comfort even in the winter?

There should be various spaces where people can retire to or regroup in 
smaller groups.
A tree in the middle would be such a unifying energy!

Wasn't it the Undertwasser Haus which had vegetation as integral part of its 
architectural design?
checking...yes!
Shoot, I can't find any pictures of the inside of the building!  Conspiracy?
Anybody know of a website with a better content than a few outsdoor photos 
of the nice facade?
