Subject: [Puptcrit] Seeking a Female Performer (Philadelphia Area)


Hello All,

We have an immediate female performer role open.
Rehearsals begin in September and performance dates the first
weekend in October.

We are opening our season with a version of Christina Rossetti's poem
"Goblin Market".  It is Table top and Shadow puppetry, mask work, and
some dance/movement with an original musical score.  The Role title is
Parrot Hobgoblin. The production is strongly based on the Poem Goblin
Market by Christina Rosetti (A copy of the Poem can be found on Line, if
you have not read it you should).  This performance deals with Opium
addition and Lesbian situations (through puppetry). If you or someone
you know is interested and haven't read the poem they should pull it up
on line and read it.

Here are the specs on the role.

There is a $40 gas stipend for rehearsals.

For the performance, space rent come off the top of ticket sales, unless
we get the grant we are aniticipating. After the rent is
paid performers get a cut of the house up to $75 per show.

"Goblin" is our only "Adult" performance of the year.

Our rehearsal schedul for all company is in Sept.
Sat. the 8th from 11 am - 4 pm
Sun. the 16th from 11 am - 4 pm
Sat. the 22nd from 11 am - 4 pm
Sun. 23rd from 11 am - 4 pm

This performer will require a couple additional manipulation
rehearsals if they have not used Table top before.

Load in of the show is currently scheduled for
Oct. Tues. 2nd from 11 am - 3 pm
Tech Cue to Cue
      Wed. 3rd from 11 am - 3 pm
In Space rehearsal
      Thurs. 4th, time to be set
      Friday 5th, time to be set

The Production schedule is:
     Friday 5th -AT- 7:30pm
     Sat. 6th -AT- 3 & 7 pm
     Sun. 7th -AT- 3 pm

Rehearsal will be held at our Studio -AT- 3148 Sunset Avenue, Norristown,
PA 19403.

The performances will be at the Montgomery County Cultural Center 208
DeKalb street, Norristown, PA  19401.
