I am not near my library, but I am certain that there is some info in  
the updated "Puppet Theater in America".

Fanfare for Puppets- Jan Bussel Ann Hogarth, has some info on British  
television

The 1947 Grapevine Telegraph has an article about early TV and Pinxy.

I am sure that there are mentions in the early Puppetry Yearbooks.

Somewhere, I think I have an article on German TV- How's your German?

You may have better luck in magazines than books.

I can check my library tonight.
