I will see if I an find the Jaquard or other fabric paints locally. Thanks again, Bill, I just tried with a few markers on the white fur, and it does a wonderul job. The colros are bright and pure and the texture is not affected, no niticeable stiffening! Very subtle! I was able to go pretty close to the backing. No transfer of color so far. I tried black, blue and brown so far, all look great. The two colors were of the brand Tria (Pantone markers), while the black was a Dixon RediMark permanent marker. The black was much glossier, which gives a nice wet or greasy look, without the annoying texture normally associated with it. experimental: I sprayed some rubbing alcohol on the dried samples and was able to spread the color easily. Which is a good thing, because it probably means I could dilute an alcohol-based ink and use that the same as a dye (brushed or sprayed on) . And let's face it, not that many people run around spraying people with spray bottles of alcohol, so the color should stay put on the fur. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
