It's essentially a tube made out of half inch polyfoam. Then about every four inches, I tied fishing line around it to make it look it's made from round sections, like a caterpillar. At the moment it's filled with packing peanuts, but when I'm done painting it with latex, I'm hoping it'll hold it's shape. At the moment it's metallic green, but I'm going to sponge paint on blue-green and blue spots later. My wife tells me it needs arms, so I'm going to make them out of inch thick polyfoam, round off the edges and cover them in latex. The arms will be in sections, like a marionette, to make them really flexible. I'll just have rods to work them. I'm just happy to be making something. It's been a really long time since I built one of my own puppets.
