Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Table Top Rod Puppet History

Robert,

My company is in the beginning stages of a new project that will be
researched over the next year and is slated to begin production August
2008 and start performances September 2009.

The project will mix Traditional Bunraku style puppets with Table Top
and for lack of a better term Large American/Euro Rod "Bunraku" (Large
puppets utilizing Rods and Strings, performed with the Manipulator in
view) and Mask work.

With all of our performances we present an the education of the styles
of Puppetry we are presenting. We know that we will not be masters of
Japanese ningyo joruri, but will be having private concentrated
workshops in the Art, so that we can present it competently.

We do not want to give students miss information. So we are currently
trying to research this information. As much information as we can
collect in order to present it properly, is the current part of the
project. It is a very large two year project.

Best,
Liz
