Yeah, Burning Man seems like a wild rumpus artists would appreciate. They already have giant puppets, so shadows should be welcomed with open arms/claws/feelers. Once, in a local puppet festival, I've seen a giant shadow screen lighted by a great big bonfire. The screen was simply a very large sheet of fabric stretched between two deeply staked very tall posts. Probably twelve feet high. The show was badly planned, but the shadow effect was neat. They used humans and various objects, no pre-made puppets per say. I was sad that the fire was only used for the shadow, what a waste of so much good wood!
