I find it fascinating that after so many decades, the Salzburg Marionettes
have produced a version of an American Broadway musical, when their
reputation rests on their ability to stage classical operas - mainly those
by Mozart.

I wonder if this represents an artistic compromise or an expansion, or
whether it's just plain old "business?"  I'd place my bet on the latter.
