Subject: [Puptcrit] Knobs for half-sphere plastic eyes

Hi all.
I'm building a small cute robot puppet for a storyteller, and for eyes, I found something perfect, and so versatile it's suprising I've never seen any before.

At the dollar store, there were plastic knobs for drawers. The center part is a glossy white half sphere (one inch diameter) which is easily detacheable from the rest: just add the supplied screw to the back of the knob, and push a bit. The eyes will release from their casing quite easily.

Each eye has a hollow stem in its back, therefore easy to attach to most anything. It it also easy to pierce, (make a pilot hole first by turning a a sharp xacto blade) if you want to attach a pupil, or just dig some holes for that artificial gaze. The outer shell is of a golden finish. When both part of each eye are together, the eyes look like they have some sort of eyeglasses. Quite neat, and for a dollar a pair, the price is right! I only got two pairs, but I'm going back to order more, if they do that sort of thing. I wonder if they have more of the sort in their catalogue...would be neat to have a variety of sizes.

The brand is "Sabre", the line is "hometime", and the product number is 31-282 (Made in China).
The Sabre company's address (In Quebec, Canada):
