Every Wednesday I do a weekly "round up" of new episodes of puppet podcasts in my blog at http://puppetvision.blogspot.comand this week especially I was impressed by not just the number of podcasts, but the variety of subject matter and the way that puppetry is being used to all different kinds of ends including political satire (The Rag Show), Jewish education (The Itche Kadoozy Show), Scouting information (Buttons The Radical Boy Scout), mock horror (Gloomy Roomies). Even Sesame Street has a podcast now. And those are just the shows that put out new episodes this week! I keep a list of the regularly-updating puppet podcasts in the right hand column of my blog at http://puppetvision.blogspot.com. For this week's summary of all the latest episodes of puppet video podcasts go to http://puppetvision.blogspot.com/2007/11/weekly-puppet-web-series-round-up_14.html While the quality of the puppetry in many of these shows is hit and miss and the style is mostly Muppet-inspired hand and rod puppetry, I think it's very exciting to see so many people using puppetry to so many different ends by so many different people. - Andrew _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
