I can't believe how some people still believe children are going to copy what they see on tv. Especially since pre-watershed programs (ie soaps) seem to be getting more violent all the time... I'm pretty sure most kids are growing a stronger understanding between real life and tv. Although, saying this.. I do remember hearing that the BBC got quite a few complaints after they showed an episode of a picture-drawn Roald Dahl story (George's Marvellous Medicine - read by british comedian Rik Mayall) because some kids were trying to bump off their grannies. Although when I hear stuff like that, you've got to question the parenting I think... no matter what I saw on tv, I'm pretty sure even in my infantile mind I would realise it would be wrong to try and kill my gran..!
