Now, anyone, how does one transfer an image onto a stretch fabric other than t-shirt cotton? Would it work and stay put? Which specific fabrics would work? --- Brad Shur wrote: Here's a quick way to do it in 2d, with a photo even, although the size may be limited. -Iron on transfer your image to a piece of stretchy fabric (t-shirt type cotton would be stretchy enough) -Glue that with foamfast 74 to a sheet of 1/4 foam. -Slit the mouth with a good pair of fabric scissors -Stretch the painting onto your frame with staples or whatever you like. Then you can operate the mouth and fill in the inside any way you like. For a small mouth, use a clothespin with a fabric pouch glued or sewn in place as the inside of the mouth. You could also mount a pull from a string or bike cable to make it remotely operable and even place a fixed "inside the mouth" image behind with teeth etc. Most Iron on's are about 8 1/2 by 11, so for a large photo, you could tile them together. Or you could paint directly on the fabric for a painted look and go as large as you like B.
