Lisa,

Thank you for this tip! I had a wonderful time in Mary Jo's in Gastonia, NC
buying 1/4 yd. to 2 yds. of many different furs...perfect for my project! It
has been a long time since I've been in a fabric store that isn't a chain!
This is a huge shop with just about anything to do with fabric and sewing
with GOOD PRICES & SOME REAL BARGINS! The faux fur fills an entire wall with
about 100 choices in the $5.99 - $22.99 range.

Up the road, I stopped at South Eastern Foam in High Point, NC to purchase
6" thick foam and a 20' by 20' block of foam was unloaded as I waited for my
purchase. I almost fainted!

On Saturday morning in NYC I visited Dura Foam for rolls of 1 and 1/2" foam.
You need to call ahead to both foam dealers and make an order. I will
probably have to make this trip a few times and I wanted to check out all
these locations. I highly recommend all three!

I could not see a thing out the back windows of the PuppeTree's new Subaru
Outback, driving north to Vermont ...even using space bags to shrink things!
So once again thank you for the tip and now we get down to work.

If you are going to be traveling through North Carolina, I would

recommend you stop at Mary Jo's fabric. It is in Gastonia, NC which

is just south of Charlotte. It is in a little mall right on I-85.

The store is huge and the prices are great. SHe usually has a large

selection of realistic furs at reasonable prices.

Good luck!

Dear Puptcritters,

Does anyone on the list know of a source for "cheap" fur fabric between

Birmingham, Alabama and New Youk City? We need the natural colors of

Rainforest animals like browns, yellows, beige and black...and a few feline

furs. We would love if they have a little stretch!

We are going by Georgia Stage for Antron Fleece but really need to buy

yardage for less than $15 yard. We're looking for a store to stop by not an

online order. So if you know the store's hours that will be a great help or

a phone number.

Thank you.
