PROGRAM

THE FROG PRINCE
My daughter Summer wrote a Frog Prince script with a clever twist
that we worked on for a while. Summer lost interest in the project,
but I continued kicking the idea around, and this completely
different version emerged.

PICASSO THE POET
This play practically wrote itself. I learned that my friend Pierre
Joris had translated Picasso's poems into English with Jerome
Rothenberg. At that time I had no idea that Picasso even wrote poetry
and never dreamed that writing was so important to him. I borrowed
Pierre's book, did some more research, and just wrote down exactly
how it happened.

Intermission:
Music composed and performed by Richard Kelly (1954-1983)

	Budds
Angel's Dust (with Richard Lainhart on vibes)
	Blue Of Noon

Richard and I had been close friends since we first met, and had made
a lot of music together over the years. He was my first great musical
partner, and one of the most creative and inspired musicians I've
ever known. I loved him dearly. This summer will mark 25 years since
his death, and I still miss him.
	Richard Lainhart, 10/10/2007

Music by Sean Mack and Sara Ayers
	Mr. Mack Fripps
	Starless

THE YOKE FOR WEARING STONES
The Yoke for Wearing Stones was first performed at a Workspace Loft
Inc. show titled Dances Moderne in March 1977. Workspace was an
Albany artist coop and fluxis group that flourished in the late 70s.
Also known as "Reminder Piece" and "Rock Man," here it is again!

THE MAN AT THE CONTROLS
This piece came from a recurring dream that I used to have as a
child, with a spark from a Joseph Beuys piece. Thanks to Larry
Stallman for consultation on this one.

Ed Atkeson, puppets and scripts
Sara Ayers, musician and the organizer of the Loop Sanctuary series
Cathy Frank, puppeteer, support, rehearsal hospitality, costume help,

G.C. Haymes, puppeteer and voice of Gertrude, M.C., stage manager,
