Hi Katy,

The animatronics and puppet mechanics section at PuppetBuilding.com has an
ever-increasing number of resources for making various types of puppet
mechanics including several designs for different eye mechs. You can find it
at http://www.puppetbuilding.com/animatronics/ and there is a box on the
right in that section with recommended books to check out.

Probably the best resources for puppet mechanics are Hansjurgen Fettig's
books on rod and table top puppets. They are out of print, but some
libraries have them or can get them for you via an inter-library loan.
"Figure Making Can Be Fun?!?" by Michael Brose is a very good book about
making Vent Figures that has a lot of very good information about puppet
mechanics, including eye mechanisms. I don't think there is an entire book
devotee exclusively to the subject.
