Subject: [Puptcrit] 2 non-puppet stories from Johnny Faust

One night in Santa Barbara, The Fausts took me to dinner at El Portal.

Johnny was talking about night clubbing and how one night in another town a boisterous boor was at the next table, using foul language and behaving rudely. "Who on earth IS that guy? " Johnny asked the waiter, who replied. "That's Jack Armstrong, the All American Boy!" And it really was.! For all you younger people, Jack Armstrong was a popular pre-TV RADIO show, and when the Program was announced, it was always "Jack Armstrong, the All American Boy!" Even grade-school kids quoted all five words. Not so many around now to remember that radio show.

There was a guy who MAY have worked with Johnny. At any rate, he was talking about sites he'd like to visit whle touring as a performer. At the top of the list was a visit to the Grand Canyon. "Oh, you like scenery?" Johnny asked. "Nah, I always wanted to pee a mile."
