A puppet show equals creativity, imagination, courage to state your opinion, to listen to or see other people's minds in action. It means solving problems through improvising, searching into oneself... Puppetry is freedom of mind, helps people to find comfort into thinking for themselves and that leads to individual initiative. Certain governments found that opinionated people were hard to manage, so they "took action" against the free thinking, in many ways. I am very, very saddened by this situation. Oh, "no child left behind", trampled on! In Romania, which cannot be compared economically with the US - still rich and capable of offering a variety of beautiful and interesting things to people, there's no such a thing as educational shows. No censorship of this perverse type... Less political correctness still, than in US. What a lethal disease is this political correctness! All shows in Romania are based on all known fairy tales, fables, poems...The schools and kindergartens welcome all these and no educational institution or authority dare to put their noses inside theaters' choices of shows offered to schools or kindergartens.
