Subject: [Puptcrit] low tech videos - great results


In my previous post (Makin' My first Puppet video), I said I wanted to see more examples of good short videos using cheap cameras.
To produce my own this month, but also to see what we, as puppet producing people, could do with our often limited technical and financial resources.
Imagine that so many of us could each have a decent promotional video online (and on disks, portable mp3 players, video phones), without the cost of a full film crew and equipement. Imagine the great promo potential, to have it so available!


I mentionned Chantal Kreviazuk as one who made a videoclip using only a cell phone camera. I found the video, it is called "Wonderful", and here is the official music label's link to it, online:

I think it's fantastic what they were able to do with it, and especially how it does not look like they were tring to do something that the hardware could not produce.

Embracing the medium...the timeless challenge.
