Even in the horrible fluorescent lighting of the rented space, everything looked great, but we made sure to look at everything underneath our hallogen worklights too. Daniel has the eye for such things. The lighting guy was awesome, not only did he use top notch equipement, he was completely smart about using low tech stuff to specific purposes. You should have seen what he used for fill lights! He had an assistant with good ideas. The Director of Photography was great too, knew exactly what he wanted, and took the time to set every scene perfect before proceeding with filming. The Director was also clear about his wishes, so they collaborated to the great results we could see in the raw footage. We had two wonderful puppeteers with each about 25 years of marionnette experience. They gave much more to the project than they were originally hired for. We coulod not have succeeded without them. With Daniel and I being on site for technical issues, and participating for some of the action, that's the full team for the film shoot. Sometimes a volunteer would come and help with the Director's notes. It was exhausting work. I never usually sleep during the day, but I'll admit to have required sleep (underneath one of the sets) on two occasions during shooting when they did not need me, when there was no time to sleep at night before next day's shoot (we were all very motivated to add stuff and make it better). The experience was so envelopping that when I came out one morning to go back home and realised my bicycle had been stolen, I barely blinked, and just walked home. What a flow of memories! _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
