Kathleen,
I don't know if it would make a good puppet show... but I will share with you a love story ( appparently ) that has come from this. So I evacuated to my new girlfriend's house in Hattiesburg ( New because we'd only met a few months earlier ), about 50 miles from here.
I'm sitting in her house, listening to the radio, and there's this broadcast where this woman comes on, and describes the very neighborhood I live in. " It's gone" the woman reports...
" like a nuclear bomb went off. There's absolutely nothing left". So my new girlfriend, only recently hooked up with this crazy artist/puppeteer guy, looks at me and says, " I want you to stay here as long as you want. You have a home, if you need it '". I thanked her but I figured that was just a little too much to ask anyone... so after a day I went to my brother's house in Atlanta. On the ride up, I got a call on my cellphone, from a neighbor who has a son who was connected to the National Guard . ( They had occupied this place right after the storm ) He tells me that, miracle of miracle, my house was left standing, though houses on all sides were just obliterated.

People have said later I must be living right. Cheryl, the girlfriend I just spoke of, and I
are still seeing each other. Just celebrated our 4th Mardi gras a few days ago.
Put that in your puppet script !

   Michael
