Th Gawpy puppets at MacNider museum must be THE puppets used. -----Original Message----- From: Angusson-AT-aol.com Sent: Saturday, February 9, 2008 2:23 PM To: alangregorycook-AT-msn.com, puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Famous puppet characters and the toy market Hi Alan: Not quite related to your essay on collectibles, but the name Harold Hestwood is one that Margo Rose mentioned when I interviewed her back in the mid-nineties. He was a puppeteer for Tony Sarg at the same time Margo was there. I have to check my notes, but I think he also was a musician. Margo tells of someone (perhaps Hestwood) who would play the piano while the others would be setting up the show. Margo allowed as how that made the work go quickly. She mentioned that he was a tall, lanky guy. FWIW.
