It's small show, and because of the subject matter, I wanted a dreamlike quality. I use a row of votive lights in green and blue holders. The shadows multiply as I move them slightly away from the screen, and they have a slightly colored aura. I don't worry too much about the open flames (and neither have the venues I've performed it in), because they're in votive holders. I realize I could have an accident, but then I could have an accident driving to the venue, too. The result is extremely mystical looking, just the effect I wanted.
