Subject: [Puptcrit] Seeking puppet TV show episodes


Hi all.

I'm reminescing, thinking about a puppet show I really enjoyed as a kid, on Tv.
It was called, in French, "Virulis et les Robots".

It was about a young girl and her friend (or brother), living at her grandfather or old uncle, who is a botanist and robotician.
The girl has another peculiar friend: a virus, which was extracted from her when she was sick, and enlarged to human size.
The settings: mostly in a complex of caves and greenhouse, full of plants and robots.
Among the robots, there is a chef (red robot, quite exentric), and an old rusted robot who turns mad from some muschroom accumulation and becomes evil...

The whole look of things was kind of old european.

Has anyone seen this tv series, and can you tell me it name in English, its original name, where it is from, who worked on it?

All I remember is what I just wrote, a few images here and there, and parts of the main title's lyrics.

>From memory, the puppets (rod puppets) looked very good, the sets were multi layered and very detailed, and the story was captivating. Certainly one of those things that brainwashed me into eventually turning into a puppetmaker.

My internet searches only turned up other people who have been remembering it or looking for it but in vain.
