Here in Los Angeles, I have been budgeting about 15%
on a variety of different types of advertising as
well. I find that print advertising is the most
expensive form of advertising I do in terms of actual
money paid. My internet advertising doesn't cost as
much in actual dollars, but requires a good deal of
time -- for example in designing and upkeeping the
website.

Recently I have started asking my clients how they
heard of me in order to find out which form of
advertising is giving me the best results. Happily, I
find that a lot of the business does in fact come from
word of mouth.
