I was once given this formula by a friend who owned a brass-fittings factory (in business for many years): Decide how much you think you should earn per year. Divide that by the number of working hours there are in a year - meaning, what you think you should earn per hour. Add in the costs of materials and estimate how long it will take you to do the job. That's your price.
